Shabbat at the Israel Museum, park hopping in Jerusalem & the Jerusalem mall

We slept in today (actually awakened by other exuberant house guests of the baby variety at 2 am, 5 am and 8 am). Had a lazy morning, watched American Idol with Hebrew subtitles!!

and then a headed off to the Israel Museum where we saw the Dead Sea scrolls, the model of the 2nd temple and amazing Torah covers & clothing from all over the world. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside  the museum so I can't show you all the beautiful things.

checking out the audio
they sneezed so hard they lost their heads!
 model of the 2nd temple
 Ahava- Love!
A funeral carriage (I was told off by the guard- didn't realize we couldn't take photos.)

We then headed over to Yemen Moshe to meet some friends and spent the afternoon wandering around the park near the windmill and the liberty bell.

God was shining down on us!

 Old City view

We found a restaurant that was open even though it was Shabbat

Dinner with Shaked & Hadas- Tammy's girls
and then headed to....
 .

the Jerusalem mall. The mall on Motzei Shabbat (end of Shabbat) is PACKED- because everything has been closed all day, people feel the need to go somewhere.

Even in Israel Iphones are all the rage:
 Mini-me is selling things here!
